    Question Plotting a chart between two dates

    I'm having trouble plotting my chart.

    I need to create a chart that records predicted spending on a range of projects.

    Basically for each project I am given two dates the beginning and end of the project. And the monthly cost of that project. What I need to do is total this monthly cost for each project and plot it correspondingly to the dates it falls between e.g.

    A: Jan-07 - May-07 @ £40 a month
    B: Feb-07 - Apr-07 @ £20 a month

    Therefore the data I need to plot is:
    Jan=£40, Feb=£60, Mar=£60, Apr=£60, May=£40

    Is there a way I can plot this graph by only using the initial set of data (Two dates and monthly cost)???

    Any help is appreciated

    Hi,

    Unless someone produces a chart as you requested, then the attached might help.

    Could you attach an unzipped copy. I am at work and do not have an unzipping programme.
    Thanks

    np - if you want to extend the green area make sure you do the ranges in the Sumproduct for Jan and then formula fill sideways.
