Thread: x,y ploting

I have a series of dates in one column in order, but not in regular intervals.
In a corresponding column I have values.

If I select the values column and chart it, the graph has evenly spaced columns (naturally).

How do I get the intervals on the graph x-axis to be 'spaced out' to represent the correct date intervals?

Use an XY (aka scatter) plot. Select both the value column and the dates column->Insert->Chart. Then work through the chart wizard, being sure to select XY scatter in chart type, and make sure, when you get to the source data step that it is correctly assigning the dates to the x values.
