    Excel 2007 - widen a chart column

This is driving me crazy. I have created a basic vertical bar chart, but the bars appear too narrow and separated from one another. I have been toying with Excel 2007 for the past hour trying to figure out how to widen the columns, but can't find any solutions.

    Any help appreciated.

    Have you tried this:

Right-click on one of the bars and choose 'Format Data Series'. In the Format Data Series window, on the Series Options tab (first tab) move the Gap Width slider closer to 'No Gap', which will widen each of the bars.

    Thanks

Bless You. This is a life-saving tip late at night when your client is expecting a deliverable from you in the morning. I appreciate the help and am surprised that after all the clicking around I did, I didn't come across the same options dialogue box myself.

    Cheers,
