Thread: Associating bar color with data field?

Hey gang -

First post here... looks like a nice forum. Hoping, in advance, that you may be able to help me.

Trying to create a bar graph to present. X axis is names and Y axis is numerical data. I would like the color of the bars to correlate to the team to which the name belongs. There are probably six or seven teams total, which I've creatd in a separate column. I've tried everything but cannot seem to find a way to do this.

Is there an easy solution to capture and display this data in this manner? Thanks.

Hi Jim

If you add one series for each team then you'll have automatically each team with its own colour.

To do that you just have to have one input column for each team.
