    Formating a line chart

Hello, I am creating a line chart for work that will be an ongoing line chart. It will show us day by day where we stand.

The chart contains only dates and amounts for those dates. I want to have the line chart end off where I left off. For example on a certain date if we have a amount of $55 The next day on the chart will be blank until it has been entered, but what happens on the chart is that the blank space enters as a zero and the line goes from $55 down to Zero. I just want to have the line hanging there waiting for the next number.

    Possible?

Hope I explained that well enough.

    Thanks,
    Nick

    Hi Nick

I assume you're charting values from a worksheet. Is there anything in the cell which is going to take (say) tomorrow's value? if so, you may well get a zero value in the chart.

    Otherwise, try selecting

tools > options > chart (tab) > and select the "plot empty cells" as "not plotted" option
