I have been tasked with creating a stacked bar chart and cannot figure out how to do it the way the data is currently layed out in the spreadsheet.
Product Type Amount
One Equipment 38
One Supplies 25
Two Equipment 55
Two Supplies 33
Three Equipment 42
Three Supplies 16
I need the Category (X) axis labels to be the "Product" and the Series to be 1)Equipment and 2) Supplies. For each Category, I need only one bar with the Supplies amount on top of the Equipment amount. I'm getting two bars, one each for Equipment and Supplies. I can get what I want if I click on the Type "Equipment" once for each Product then "Supplies" for each Product, but there has to be a better way. Do I need to lay out the data in a different way to accomplish this?
Thanks,
Toni
I suggest that you create a pivot table with the data and maybe even use the pivot chart option to create the stacked graph
