Bar Chart: Show Only 1 Gridline in Red

    Hi Guys,

Can anyone tell me how I can show just 1 gridline on a graph, e.g. 8 in a particular colour.

I have a graph from 0 to 10 for example, but want a line at 7 in red because everything on the graph above 7 is out of target.

    Thanks in advance
    d

    Hello dvent,

Both the major and minor grid lines on a chart are not collection objects. You can not select only a single grid line and change its format (color, thickness, and line style). The change applies to all of them.

    Sincerely,

you can select a data series of 7's to read from a row equal in length to the
chart width, format the line color and thickness with the drawing tools.

first right click inside the chart (not on the gridlines) select source data, choose series, under the values range minimize the view screen and click and drag the 7's, maximize, close and you should have the red line on the 7.
