    Linking Pictures in a Chart

Sorry if this has been asked before, I'm a new forum member and kind of in a bind.

So excel offers an ability to paste a picture into your chart and with this picture highlighted, you can type in the formula bar "=Range_Name" and it will fill the picture space with cells included in the Range Name you specify. If the data in the range name changes, the picture you've linked in your chart will update as well.

This is a great way to show a table of data on a chart without having to copy and paste pictures separately.

This is all good until I save and close the workbook. When I open the workbook back up the links for this picture are gone. The picture is still there, but its the same as when I saved and closed and will no longer update, because the links to the range names are gone.

Is there anyway to preserve these links so they will remain after opening and closing the file?

Let me know if I haven't described anything well enough.

    Thanks

Beautiful, thank you so much. I used the camera functionality.

Perhaps the problem was with the range names I was using... it was just easier to type those in than linking the cell range each time.

    Thanks again.
