Thread: trapezoidal waveform plot?

Hi All,

I am trying to plot a trapezoidal waveform (like a square waveform but with a ramp on top).

I can plot a simple waveform using the following data:

0 1
0 2
0 3
0 4
0 5
10 5 height 1 = 10
11 6
12 7
13 8
14 9
15 10 width = height 2- height 1
16 11
17 12
18 13
19 14 height 2 = 19
0 14
0 15
0 16
0 17
0 20
0 18

T= 18 - 1
Frequency =1/(T)

But I want this to be variable width , height and slope depending on the input variables width and height1 and height2.

What I want in Electronics terms is the frequency, amplitude and Ipeak and Itroff to be found from another part of the spreadsheet and excel to plot the resulting waveform.

I have no experience of macro programming but want to learn and I have programming experience in various high level languages .

I use Excel 2003.

Can anyone point me in the correct direction?
