Thread: Legend label order

Hi - I have exactly the same problem as Stephen -

I'd like to reorder the legend comments ( for example to put them in year sequence )

however, when I do what Bryan suggests ( which certainly reorders the lines/bars on the chart ) , the legend itself doesn't change. It APPEARS that the legend lines come up in the order in which they were originally entered, and ignore subsequent changes and also ignore the data order.

I'm using Excel 2003

Legend order is based not only on plot order but chart type and axis used.

If all the series are of the same type and on the same axis you should be able to change the order.

Can you post and example workbook?
