    Make excel recognize same category?

I want to graph my entire summer, and to do so, I'm making a schedule of my daily activities with one column named "Activity" and the next "duration."
However, when I put these two into a pie chart, categories with the same name (let's say 'games') have different sections of the pie chart.
How can I change it so that categories with the same name are combined in the pie chart?

    If i'm being confusing, here's a picture:

Basically I want both instances of 'games' to show up as ONE slice of the pie chart.

    Thank you.

Normal charts do not summarize your data for you you have to do that yourself.

Either use countif formula or create a pivot table.
