any way to create my own customized series of pattern fills that I can select as an option in a series of "Format Data Series" - > "Fills" and select one that I created? As of now, I have to select each data point individually and point and click on the type of data pattern fill that I want. I would like to customize this.

The built-in pattern fills are fixed.
You could create your own as images and the use a picture for the fill.
You would need to build your own dialog with a userform if you wanted a GUI for the process.
