Y-Axis Doubling Values

Hi all,

Is it possible to create a y-axis that has doubling values from 0 to 2048. We are trying to create a graph of values obtained in a biological assay where titres range from zero up in doubling dilutions.

Using a log scale has not helped - the graph does not look good! All we want to do is to have doubling values on the y axis. Is there anyway to 'break' up the axis so that each dilution e.g. 20, 40, 80, 160 is a proportional space away from each other (Wierd request i know!)??

Any ideas greatly appreciated!!

Hayley

If you have xl2007 this now support log scale with log bases other than 10, so you can use base2.

If using an older version you can recalculate your values using LOG(value,2)

You will need to construct the axis scale using another series. See here for information on constructing an arbitary axis.
