Stock charts - adding extra data series
I want to create a stock chart - open/high/low/close - to which I can add one or more lines based on additional data that I have derived.
Does anyone know if this is possible in Excel 2007? So far, I've attempted to combine the OHLC stock chart with a line chart, and it tells me that these are incompatible. Thanks. |

Hi Andy,
It's just a stock chart (based on 4 series of data - open/high/low/close) and I want to overlay various lines, based on further columns of data that I have created (e.g. the 20 day maximum of the stock prices, the 50 day moving average, etc.). As I understand it, Excel 2007 prevents one from combining a stock chart with a line chart in this way. The only thing option that I can find in the help section is that of adding a trend-line or other pre-defined line from some finite set. This is not sufficient for my purposes. Thanks. |

Thanks Andy,
That's absolutely perfect. Sorry for the late replies - I don't check in here very often. Alexis |
