Comparing complete with incomplete years data

I have created a table and a graph that shows the activity for 4 consultants over a period of time (06/07, 07/08 and YTD for 08/09)

I feel that the graph isn’t a true reflection of the activity, because the first two financial years (06/07 and 07/08) are full complete years running from April to Mar. But for the last financial year 08/09, the data only runs from April through to August. So the graph I have drawn doesn’t show this!

What would be the best way to graphically show this? I want to make clear that I am comparing complete with incomplete years data.

Thanks in advance

In your excel sheet is just the final pivot table data, so we cannot see the underlying data.
1) you could interpolate the missing data to make it a full 12 month period.
2) Show YTD for the other years as well
3) Use percentages instead of absolutes

Thanks for the quick reply,

The underlying data is hidden, to unhide it, go to 'Format' > 'Sheets' > 'Unhide'

you mentioned that i can interpolate the missing data? for the rest of the months, how do i do this?

Showing the YTD for the rest of the years, is a good idea. i'll give that a try.
