    Excel chart error

I have created an excel chart with a primary and secondary axis. Each axis has two series of data. The data used in the chart is housed in a different workbook saved on the same network drive and folder. For some odd reason the first bar in the graph does not graph the second series in axis one and the first series on axis two. I am using Office 2003, and the chart was created by copying a previously built chart, and then updating the series link names. I checked all series links, and all of the correct data is included, but for some odd reason its just not graphing some of the data on the furthest left bar??? Any help would be greatly appreciated...

    Thanks,

    Josh

Does the same chart with local data (data actually in the workbook) still display incorrectly?

If so post an example of the chart.

    Andy,

Thanks for your response... unfortunately it does display incorrectly when the chart is located locally on the same sheet as the data. I attached a dummied down example below. Thanks in advance!!!

Looks like the formatting has been set for each individual point in the series.

Select the series named, Min/Max difference.
Right click and chose Format. The pattern appears as solid purple.
Change the Fill to be Fill Effects > Pattern > Wide upward Diagonal.
    Change the Forecolor to Red.
    Cheers

I don't know how I wasn't able to figure that one out on my own during my hours of struggles. I am not very versed on charting and mainly work in formulas and functions, but this has been a good lesson for me on the irritability of chart formatting. I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my question Andy. Your knowledge is very impressive, and the fact that you are willing to share it is much appreciated!!! You are a scholar and a gentleman!

    Thanks!!!!

    Josh
