Thread: Date as X axis with segments as monthly

How do you set the X-axis so the month "tick marks" begin on the first of each month? Starting at a given date, I would like Excel to generate the X-axis using the correct number of days for each month forward accounting for leap years.

Depends on the chart type.

If Line/Column/Area you can set the Scales Minimum value to be the 1st of a month and then Major unit to 1 Month.

With XY scatter you will need to use a dummy data series to create the axis labels your self.
