Hey!
So I'm working on graphing ridiculous amounts of values into a scatter plot...but I have to select the values individually, and Excel is only letting me select a maximum of 16 for a given series. Does anyone know how to get around this maximum? I need to plot sometimes up to 50 different x values, so it could be a little tedious having to break everything up. Is there any way of changing the maximum?
Thanks!
You can have 255 series in a plot, and a total of 256K points plotted.
What do you mean about 'selecting them individually'?

My "coordinates", I guess you could say, are not in list form, so I have to hold down Ctrl and click through them in order to plot them - sounds confusing. I'll attach a file if it's not clear what I'm attempting to do. I highlighted the values I would plot in one series in red.
Your data hurts my eyes, Raychel!
How about reorganizing the data so that whatever you're plotting is contiguous?
All the chart data is on another sheet?

Tell me about it - that's only a SMALL portion of all my data...it's been a long day!
The only thing about putting the data all together is that it will take forever (I have something like 1500 measurements to do) and the series that they're in (the 5 year spans) are what I'm trying to graph. Does that make any sense?
okay I read that wrong - is there a "quicker" way to make the data contiguous than copy and pasting?
The simplest way is to create references to the required cells by using the INDIRECT function. See attached
