Hi
I use Excel 2000 v.9
I have several workbooks containing large numbers of chart sheets. Each chart sheet is set up with chart > page setup > printed chart size set to “custom”. All charts in all workbooks are the same fixed size, so they have uniform appearance when copied into publications, reports, PowerPoint presentations etc.
I have a staff member whose computer cannot, for various admin reasons, be linked to a printer. Without a printer it seems that the “page setup” property cannot be set, and all the charts in any workbook she opens are the wrong size. Furthermore, if she saves the workbook, the incorrect chart size settings are saved for all charts in that workbook.
Does anyone know a way around this?
Nicky
Why don't you just install a generic printer driver on the machine, even though it's not connected to any printer? Or grab one of the many PDF format "printers" like Win2PDF from the web and install as the default printer. Set the paper format to what you have (letter or A4) and you should be away.
cheers

At Excelforum, you can say "Thank you!" by clicking theicon below the post.
Avoid pie charts with more than two data points. Why? See here (pdf, 559 kb). The only acceptable pie chart is here.
Hi Teylyn
Our IT people have said that printers are not compatible with some of the software on the machine, but maybe this will work. Will give it a try
Thanks
Nicky
