Heya y'all.
I'm attempting to produce a chart/graph which will provide a layout for an installation grid of ceiling tile, based on the width/length. I'm thoroughly familiar with the calculation process involved in producing the required number of peices, and I believe i'm capable of creating a VBA code which will output the numbers representative of the placement for each component. I do not however, know of a system within Excel in order to represent these outputs visually.
I've attached a very poorly drawn example of the output I'd like to achieve, along with a fairly thorough explanation of the component estimating process.
As I mentioned, I'm not looking to have someone write the whole shebang for me, I just need a nudge in the right direction in terms of where to get started with visually representing the numbers once I calculate them.
Any help would be appreciated.
p.s.
Don't laugh at my sketch, it's awesome and you know it.

You could use a multi series xy-scatter chart to plot the lines.
I have manually create a few sets of lines to illustrate the data layout.
Calculating the actual dimensions will be the tricky bit.
Ossim.
Didn't have much time to look it over, but it appears to be what I was hoping for. Just getting into graphs and charts, so didn't know where to start. I'm familiar with the calculations for the components enough that I should, with some trial and error, be able to design a suitable interface.
thanks.
