Is there a way I can change the plot color behind my data in my chart to hilite a segment of the range? for example I have my data going from 1 to 10 on my y axis and I want to hilite with a different color the background between 4 and 6 so I can easily see those points that fall out of that range. I am using bar charts and line charts for this data. I know I can change the color for the entire plotted area but I only want to change the color of the poltted area betwen 4 and 6. I am using excell 2003.
Probably, using additional data series.
Can you post example workbook
I would overlay a text box and make it transparent.

Added 2 series
change to secondary axis
change to stacked column
set gapwidth = 0
enable secondary X axis
delete secondary Y axis
