Question Create chart using data from multiple worksheets

    Hi Everyone,

I hope I am posting in the right place. I am trying to create a chart using worskheets which contain data from the past year. Is it possible to put all of the data into one chart or do I have to copy and paste all of the data into one sheet?

What I want to do is show a figure which remains pretty static for the duration of the year (only decreases aprox 5 times) compared to another figure which changes daily. Is it possible to show 365 days in one chart?

Thanks in advance for any help

    Welcome to the forum.

    1. For any given series, the categories (or x values) have to be on the same sheet, and the values have to be on the same sheet (which can be different from the categories sheet). A chart can have multiple series, with data originating on different sheets for each.

    2. Sure, subject to the limitation above.

There must be a better way to do this. I have a sheet for each day, and the elements of the sheet are sales numbers for each product. I would like a graph that has the sheet name as the X axis and the sales numbers as the series.

Do I have to create a database to do this? Would that work?
