Pie Chart Reconfiguration On The FLY?

Please Register to Remove these Ads

Fellow Forum Members,
Attached is a 2007 File with some dummy data I'm using to experiment with. Can anyone out there please make changes to this file so that the following objective is achieved.

My goal is to filter the data inside the Source Data worksheet to show only the numbers for the month of Feb, March, etc... using the AutoFilter drop down menu for the DATE column. Once I apply my DATE AutoFilter for March, I want my Pie Chart to dynamically reconfigure itself and on the fly show me pie slices that reflect only March Grand totals. Currently, it is not on the fly because the Pivot Table requires it be manually refreshed.

The Pivot Table is there because I do not know of any other way to categorize all of the Soure Data as effectively as it can be done using a Pivot Table. However, where I think the Pivot Table falls short is in the way it interacts with the Pie Chart and the Source Data itself. I'm trying to figure out a way where I could eliminate having to apply MANUAL REFRESHES.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
