    Percentage labels in excel charts

    Hello,
I am trying to create a chart in excel that is a 3-D column graph with an y axis range from 0-2000. There are two sets of values in each bar. Let say there are 250 kittens and 1150 dogs, so the bar chart shows a very small block of blue to represent kittens and a very tall purple block above it to represent the 1150 dogs. I want to be able to show the % of kittens as part of the whole lot of kittens+ dogs on the chart. I don't want the chart to show the value of 250 kittens. I want it to show the total % of kittens rather than the acutal number. When I try to populate the values on each bar it only shows the #, but I can't get it to show the %. How can I get the chart to show the % total instead?

    Thank you for your help.

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0, Excel 2003

Re: Percentage labels in excel charts

If you want to plot percentage then you need a series of data where the values are percentages.
