    Chart using race horses

    Greetings, Gurus.

We've all seen the charts where the results are represented by race horses. This is usually like a horizontal bar chart, so that the lead horse is out in front, (rahter than at the top). I've even seen some where the horse's number is the data label.

Does anyone know of a template featuring these horses?

    Thanks in advance.

Perhaps not, can you provide a link to an image example.

    Re: Chart using race horses

That was a rather broad assumption, wasn't it? When I googled "Chart with Race Horses", the top return was this thread. (That's pretty quick results from Google.)

The ones I have actually seen were big hard copy versions on bulletin boards at businesses, with the race horses cut our of paper and taped to the board to show progress. Kind of like the thermometer chart graphic that fills till it bursts.

I've never seen a digital version of this design. I was just hoping Excel would have the capability, or someone here had run across one before.

You can replace the data markers with pictures of horses (not real horses, of courses).

At Excelforum, you can say "Thank you!" by clicking the icon below the post.

Avoid pie charts with more than two data points. Why? See here (pdf, 559 kb). The only acceptable pie chart is here.

That works, shg. I didn't think of that.

Sorry, DonkeyOte, you're the only donkey I've ever liked.

Appreciate it, people. This thread is SOLVED!
