    Date Time Chart

    I am sure this is so easy but i just cant get it

    i reports that go out every day for data the day before and i need to plot the time that data report has gone out

    eg


    Data Date Report 1
    1/11/09 (2/11/09, 11:04)
    2/11/09 (4/11/09, 11:35)
    3/11/09 (4/11/09, 12:35)

    happy for the data date to be the point lable

    any help greatly recived

    Hi Boris99

    Your problem will be a lot easier to understand and solve if you supply a small data sample in a workbook. You can upload a file by clicking "Go Advanced" below and then the paper clip icon.

    Make sure that your sample data has the same formatting and layout as your original, because in charting, a lot depends on the data!

    can you describe what kind of chart you want? Line? Column? XY? I have no clue what you want to show.

    You could plot the second series as xy-scatter and use X-error bar to provide a datum line for each column.

    No thats not quite what i was expecting

    I am looking for a graph with Date on X time on Y

    it will have a solid line for the target

    and then plot the individula report dates and if above the line bad ie deliverd late below the line good

    as long as the day is right as well

    except the red target line should be at 11am
    and each of the blu dots should be at the time they are related to

    Change the formula,

    G7: =D7-(INT(C7)+1)
    H7: =E7-(INT(C7)+1)

    copy down
