    Chart format

    Hi there,

First of all congrats for the fabulous forum! It has been tremendously usefull to me.

Although, I tried to found a topic that covered this issue but i did not found any reference to ir.

My doubt regards excel scatter formation. for example, I have a graph, please see the one attached, that I can see the detail for each point if I put my mouse above the point - I see the X Label, Y Label and the Name of the series (that is different for each point). Now, I'd like to know if it is possible to format the series in two aways.

For example, I know that some points belong to a certain category that would be formated in green and the others would be formated in blue (example).

    was I clear enouth?

    Regards

    Sheesh!

A little background data might be useful! If you 've figured out how to attach a JPG, you'll probably be able to attach a workbook with a data sample. Make sure to include how Excel would know which data points belong in the green and which in the blue category. A verbal description would be a good start.

Avoid pie charts with more than two data points. Why? See here (pdf, 559 kb). The only acceptable pie chart is here.
