Thread: charts and dates and groups of data

Hi guys - what a great forum you've got going on here! Have tried to find an answer to my question in the forum but can't quite get what I need.

I would like to graph some data. I have only 2 columns of data. Column 1 is just dates, and column 2 is the word yes, or no.

I would like to make a Chart of the amount of 'yes's or 'no's that occurred on a month by month or year by year basis. Date would be on the x axis. One of the tricky things is getting the date data to appear in the correct location once they are grouped. For example, if I was trying to group by month, and there were 3 consecutive months where I had no data, I need a 3 month gap to appear in the chart.

Would love to know how to do this! Example data attached.
