    Labels on X,Y plots

    Dear Excel Groovers,

I have X, Y axis data in two columns, and each of these points also has a unique name, stored in a third column.

Is there a way to use the labels feature to annotate each of my data points with its unique name, effectively on the plot (rather than say in a legend?)

Right now, I can only label each point with its X or Y value, not the name I have for it.

(I know I could have them all plotted as individual series and that would work, but I have probably too many points to make that a legitimate way round the problem).

Many thanks if you can help...

Matt, have a look at Rob Bovey's XY Chart Labeler add-in. You can download it here

    and it is fantastic!

Avoid pie charts with more than two data points. Why? See here (pdf, 559 kb). The only acceptable pie chart is here.
