Jon, Sorry to hear that. I wonder what the heck 2007 doesn't like about it ... very wierd!!!??
Hi,
This might be way off track, but I noticed that you're using named formula for the chart references.
I read somewhere (but can't for the life of me remember where) that XL 2007 doesn't like named formula where the name is Chart when using the named formula for chart references.
Anyway, it may be unrelated, but you could try renaming the reference formula and see what happens.
Wow! Excellent catch Jbentley!!! (tipped your scale) ... I found an article on internet that confirms what you are saying (http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/...umnChart1.html).
When Jonathan78 first submitted this post, the Named Formulas were originally AA, BB, CC, DD. At that time, I just wondered if there was something undesirable with having Named Formulas that were the same as the name of a column. So, I changed these Named Formulas to "Chart1", "Chart2", etc. not knowing that I wasn't making it any better.
Jonathan78, I have changed these Named Formulas to "NamedFormula1", "NamedFormula2", etc. Give this altered worksheet a try and see if it now works on your Excel 2007.
... Regards, sauerj

Thanks for trying Jbentley, but the problem persists.
When I read your post I really hoped this would be the cause of the problem, but unfortunately it wasn't![]()
BUMMER! ... Hey, Jbentley, I notice that you use Excel 2007. It would be good to double-check this issue with another 2007 user. So, asking you a favor: Could you open my attachment "Sport-test(2).xls" (2-28-2010 post) and see if the lines on all four charts are visible or not? If the line on the 2nd chart is invisible, then the problem is still unresolved. If visible, then problem must be wierd glitch w/ Jonathan78's Excel. ... If problem still unresolved, then seems like MS should be informed ... (bug ???).
Hi,
I don't get any errors.
Do you have service pack 2 installed?
I got service pack 3 installed, why?
I am I the only one with 4 graphs in a a sheet.
If it is a problem in excel 2007, than the problem would be known by everyone by now
Thanks for helpin sauerj and Bentley
Hi Jonathan78,
Sorry, I was asking about XL2007, have you got service pack 2 intalled?
I'm using XL2007 with SP2 and do not have the issue you are getting with the file you uploaded.
Where you've mentions that you have service pack 3, are you referring to XL07 or XL03 ?
If, XL07 then I've got some updating to do -

Don't want to overdo this SP issue; but in case it might be root of problem, want to assure good communication on this point. ... Question: JBentley, when you open Excel 2007, Goto HELP, then "About MS Office Excel", what version SP do you see. Jonathan78, ditto ... same question.
From internet, there is an Office 2007 Suite SP3, but there is no Excel 2007 SP3 (just SP1 and SP2). Just want to make sure everyone is talking from the same page.

Jbentley, I have sp2 installed
Hi,
Take a look at this, see if resolves your issue.
I changed the Sumproduct formula in the Chart named formulas to simply be a reference to the cells in row 18 for each chart.
The sumproduct looked essentially to be replicating the result in C$18, J$18 etc.
You're a genius Jbently, I already had lost all hope about solving this issue.
So it was the sumproduct formula causing the error.
Still strange though that it works fine in 2003
And thank you too sauerj, you've been a great help
