So the question at hand, is how do I add a vertical line into these graphs that will show me today. The point for this is to be able to know where today is on these graphs, so that i can see what has already occurred and what is coming up.
I have been trying to do the second x-axis strategy but it has not paned out for me. Any thoughts?
I attached the file for viewing.
Thanks!
Add another series where only the current months data point is plotted.
Add Minus 100% Error bars to the series and format as required.
Thanks, I added that in.
Now, simple question, is this automatically going to adjust as each day comes? Or is there some kind of adjustment I need to do?
Thank you!
If you used the formula then it will update each month.
Yes i used the same formula you provided, but does that mean it does not distinguish between March 10th and March 18th?
No it does not. But then neither does your chart.
You have categories not a date axis.
Do you have a suggestion that will lead to me being able see it on a daily level?
Should I instead just be dumping the entire group of dates in as data instead of trying to pull them into groups?
This is the chart again with the back data that I'm pulling everything from. Please let me know if you think there is a smarter way i should be generating everything, but I need the final product to look the same as in Y-axis is # of sites and X-axis is Months
You can add a 2 point series to the secondary axis and change the chart type to xy-scatter.
You will need to fix the min/max scale of the secondary axis.
