    Scaling Graph

I need to scale the linear line for series 1 and curve for series 2 so that they look closer to each other.. but how can I do that? The purpose is to obtain minimum error for each point plotted between the 2 graphs. Example, first point of series 1, x1 and first point for series 2, y1.. the error is y1-x1.. but i need to find the MIN error.. so scaling of the graph is needed.

    Re: Scaling Graph

plot one of the series on the secondary y axis, then play with the scales of the axes individually.

Avoid pie charts with more than two data points. Why? See here (pdf, 559 kb). The only acceptable pie chart is here.

    Re: Scaling Graph

That is one problem I am facing, because I'm not required to plot the series based on the secondary axis. The y-axis for both series must be based on the primary axis. I need to obtain a scale factor. Any help?

I'm afraid I'm not following. Could you step back and explain a bit more? Or maybe mock up a sample chart with MS Paint and the explain the logic of getting there from your graph?

It also might help to attach a sample file with some data and the chart, so solutions can be based on your numbers.

    Re: Scaling Graph

    File is attached

There are many sets of data.. I copied 2 sets only..

So for each set of data, D1 and D2 lines must be closed to each other.. based on one scaling factor.. example.. all values in D1 multiply with a scaling factor, lets say B so that these values are closed to D2 line.. but I have no idea how to obtain the scaling factor...

And as for set 1, D2 line is not linear.. which trendline is the best to represent the D2 values?

    Thanks so much.
