    External Data / Trailing Charts

    Dear All,

I have attached the file for your reference. I am trying to calculate a Put Call Ratio from refreshed external data. You will observe two relevant graphs. I am trying to keep a trailing graph. What I mean to say is that for the past data, the graphs should be there and the lines of graph will follow the refreshed data. I request help in this.

    Regards,

Re: External Data / Trailing Charts

    Hello dc,

    welcome to the forum.

If you want to plot a history of values (which I presume you want), then you need to transfer the pertinent fields to another sheet upon each data refresh. Each subsequent new data field needs to go into its own cell. Then plot your chart from the data in that table.

Avoid pie charts with more than two data points. Why? See here (pdf, 559 kb). The only acceptable pie chart is here.

    Dear Teylyn.,

Thanks for the warm reception. You have understood exactly what I want. So if you can advice me a bit technically, it would be very kind of you. Actually I want to catch the tick data from Google website and prepare the index chart of NIFTY during market hours and observe its correlationship with Put Call Ratio.

    Greetings.
