Thread: How to "plot by"; automated x-y scatter semi-log

I would like to automate the creation of multiple x-y scatter semi-log plots. It the attached example tab-delimited text file, “Time" is the x-axis and "Rate" is the y-axis (log scale). I want to generate separate plots for each "ID". The file is showing 8 plots, but I need to generate about 40 plots; hence the need for automation.

I've done this before using SAS and the "Proc plot" "By ID" commands, but I really do not need the huge program and licensing that SAS entails. Is there a way to do the plotting within Excel? If not, does anyone know of freeware that can automate plotting?
