I have a question about charts in Excel 2007.
I have 27 vertical data points in column A that are months from now back to Dec. 2007. Horizontally in row 10 I have 7 data points that are specific metrics (including the month label). So my data table is A10:G37. The data is populated from cell B1 which is a validated drop-down selection. Once an employee is selected several lookup formulas pull the data into the table.
On to my question.
In that data table there will be times when data is not available for a person for any given month for the first few months they are here. To break that down. My chart goes back to Dec. 2007 and the individual started working on Dec. 2008 so there are 12 months for that person that has no data. Is there any way to have my chart not add those 12 data points or exclude them so that there is not a lot of space on my chart that is empty. This is messing with my trend line.
