Thread: Extending target line across entire chart

Hello,

I have an excel 2007 chart (attached) that has multiple target lines (green and red lines in the chart). Is there an easy way to have them span the length of the chart, as opposed to starting and stopping on the x axis ticks? I've searched but every suggestion seems to reference the "axis crosses between categories" option which I'm not seeing in excel 2007.

thanks, i should have mentioned that the targets will change at some point so a linear trend line won't be able to show the new+ old targets in one line (see new attachment)

hmmm...that workaround would do, but unfortunately as soon as I add data labels, they are all overlapping the charts borders because of that change.

I could have sworn there was a different way to only extend the target lines themselves by using a secondary axis, but I can't see how to do it with this data I have (since I already have 2 axis used).
