I have a simple line chart. The X axis is a row of numbers and the Y axis is a second row of numbers. However, the chart puts in the Y axis values but only breaks down the X axis into 12 subdivisions numbered 1 to 12 instead of using my data information on the X axis for easy viewing.
Also, the intersection points aren't on the major grid lines. I can't see anything in the chart wizard setup to input my data for the X axis and get the proper intersection points.
I am adding a screenshot and the file for viewing.

First problem is you have not provided a range for the x values in the series formula so the chart has defaulted to using 1,2,3 etc.
Also you have plotted a line chart, which has a categorical axis, rather than a xy-scatter chart.
Select the range D5:O6 and insert an xy-scatter chart
Thanks Andy,
I also right clicked on the chart X axis area and all the fill in information was there for me to set my X axis scale from 50 to 180.
I mislabeled one row as "Y - axis" in my chart. That row of data was really the points that I wanted plotted
