Automation of Excel Graphing / Macros

    Hi,
Can anyone provide instructions on how to use a macro to automate the line graphing process?
Each graph must have the following data:
Title: Name of Statistic / Accountable Person
X Values: Month End Date (12/31/11 for example) or Week End Date 9/9/11, for example)
Y Values: The statistic result to be keyed in to the spreadsheet
Formatting: User must enter the highest expected value, the lowest expected value and their preferred major unit (so that the graph knows the max value, min value and major unit)

And some graphs will be upside down graphs. For example, when we count the number of errors made by a processor, it is ideal to have zero, so we make the zero the highest number at the top of the chart and the expected errors (greater than zero) at the bottom of the chart.

It would be ideal if we could key the data into excel, including the desired parameters, including the desired date range, so that excel could generate the graphs.

Performing the task manuall for 70+ graphs, updating the new date range, changing the max and min, etc. is very time-consuming.

Any ideas out there? Thanks! Karin

This is an intriguing idea. Can you post a sample workbook with sample data for charting? It sounds doable to me.
