    Unhappy Chart with separated data

So, I'm a student, and for a chemistry class we have to make excel lab reports. For this particular one I'm supposed to make a graph, however I seem to be unable to get the right data in as the X and Y values, and cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the right data in there. I need to have cells B11 to D11(Volume of liquid) as the X-Axis and cells B14 to D14(mass of liquid) as the Y-axis. I am attaching a screencap for reference, and I'm using excel 2010. Thank you in advance for any help

I believe I can do just the little bit of modification it needs for my needs, however I suspect I'll be in this situation again, so I would wonder how to do it, and I guess how would I do it in that particular situation? I can't seem to find a "put x-data here, put y-data here" input

    Re: Chart with seperated data

    Hi dr_pibb,
    1. Right click your chart and click “Select Data”
    2. Select either “Add” from the “Legend Entries (Series)” section
    3. Add your series name like “Volume”
    4. Press the “Tab” key on your keyboard and then left click / hold and drag across the range you want to use in the y-axis.
    5. Click OK
    6. Click Edit on the Horizontal (Category) Axis Labels section
    7. Left click / hold and drag across the range you want in the x-axis
    8. Click Ok
    9. Click OK
    10. Click the “Design” tab located on your ribbon under “Chart Tools”
    11. Click “Save As Template”
    12. Select a name and then save it.
    Cheers.
