Thread: How To Get Y Axis Labels Horizontal?

Hi,

I'm creating a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) & Gantt Chart.

I have my Y Axis task labels or WBS IDs across 2 columns.

As you will see in the picture, the WBS IDs (the numbers) is aligned vertically, while the Task labels are aligned horizontally, which is what I want.

I do not see an option to change the align text option to make my WBS IDs horizontally too.

What's the trick to do this? See attachment.

You only have control over the inner most labels on a multi level category axis.

If you full control over the layout you would need to manipulate data labels, or more likely textboxes, with code.

Now, is there a way to get my existing horizontal text or task labels to be more centered between the grid lines?

They are centered vertically.

You can not alter the horizontal alignment. The labels are right aligned. Only space padding will affect it.
