Dear all,
Apologies if this is a really basic quesiton, or if somebody else has already asked this same question in previous threads - this is my first time here...
Basically, I'd like to be able to change the value of the "x" (horizontal/category) axis so that the numbers START from 430, rather then from 1 - as the chart is for a passage in a piece of music that starts from bar 430. I'm using Excel 2008 on a Mac. If anyone can be of any help that'd be fantastic.
Thanks very much!
Ruben
create a range somewhere 430,432.,433...... up to the highest you'll need use this range as x-axis label in source data

@martindwilson thanks for your reply! Now my chart looks like this... How to I get it so that the 'x' axis values are spread out evenly? I'd like the maximum number to be 443.
Thanks very much, cheers!

Dear Martin,
Sorry about the late reply. I still haven't resolved this issue yet - I'm hoping everything is clear enough. I've attached the workbook, if you could take a look that'd be fantastic. Thanks very much,

You probably need a xy-scatter and it's the x value you need to provide.
I don't see how the values you describe fit with the y values you currently have but the example should allow you to proceed.
