Hello - thanks in advance
Does anyone know how to link a chart to a series of numbers and then use the line chart with the curser to stretch the chart into a shape which then re-calculates the number series?
Application: Market uptake curve - I need a nice simple easy way for investors to play with a curve which is visually appealing /acceptable to them.
I am sure I remember doing this once before...perhaps when my brain was a bit more nimble.
Thanks / David
Feature was removed in xl2007.
One of the MS guys wrote an addin replacement though.

If you have xl2003 then just select the series and then select a data point. The cursor should change to a NSEW pointer and allow you to drag the point vertically or horizontally whilst updating the underlying cell value.
Thanks for response. I foolishly forgot to mention that I am using MAC Excel 2011. I have seen that it has been taken out of 2007 in Excel for Windows. There is an add-in but its is for Windows. I have searched Google Graphical Goal Seek Excel 2011 MAC and I don't seem to fined anything...well not that is obvious.
Thanks/D
I'm not aware of a similiar addin for Macs
