Hi everyone --
I'm hoping that someone can help me figure out how to create a specific bar graph. I'm a social psychology graduate student, and conducted a study in which some people were given a low estimate and asked to adjust upwards from it, and some were given a high estimate and asked to adjust downwards. I'd like to create a graph that basically looks like this, in order to represent the amount they adjusted from their starting points --

Does anyone know how I might achieve this?
Many many thanks for any help you can provide,
Emily
Hard to say without seeing the dat ayou have but in order to get those 2 sets of columns you will need to use two data series. Plotting one on the secondary axis with scale values reversed.
Post example workbook if you need more help.
Hi,
I tried to create a chart according to the picture you uploaded. I am not sure if this is what you want but please have a look.
You can modify the positions of both lines by changing the values in cells C4:D5. In rows 9 and 11 you can enter the values
you want to show as columns. I prepared 5 periods but the series can easily be extended.
Please try it out and let me know.
Regards
Holger
