Lots of Data (Graph Ideas)

Hi all, I really need help, I have data for every week for years. For each weak there are up to 10 bars. If i graph date on the y axis then this chart goes on forever. Is there any nice ideas anyone has to graph this in something visible without scroll or zooming out.

Please see attached for example. I created a VBA scirpt so you can scroll through the data but this is really not that ideal. So in the current forms of graphs the data is not so good. If you can please help with ideas that would be so aweosm!

Hi pg300,

Just as an suggestion.
If you have data for large number of days, you can plot them monthly / two monthly / half yearly basis..
If you have more items (bars) to show - up you can choose some high / low bars only using max (min) type of functions..

but if you wish to show both the above, you will have to do little adjustments on view and convenience.

Hi,
May be a solution with pivot table and pivot chart
First I have done a table of your data
You can filter as desired : see attached last week chronological filter on date

Thanks Dilipandy! However they want to be able to see weekly

Can you please explain that max min function idea thanks. I thought of radar graph but it makes no sense to me

Thanks JPR! That is really nice! However they want to be able to compare it all side by side

Maybe my only option is to graph one group per chart huh?

Hi pg300,

By referring Min Max function, I just wanted to say that use this function in your result to find out which bars are Min or Max or May be above or below some kind of target and then you will have three or four bars only to be shown in Graph.
