Use Lookup or Index and Match ?

    Hi

I know this is simple (not to me) I have tried various formula, vlookup and index and match, I have searched on this forum too but can not find quite what I want, I have 3 drop down boxes, 3 criteria to match in order to retrieve the data from the matched row, hope the attached workbook will explain it better

    Thanks
    J

Try this array formula in O8 and pull formula to the right

    =INDEX(D:D,IF(($A$1:$A$48=$O$1)*($B$1:$B$48=$O$2),MATCH($O$3,$C$2:$C$48,0)+1))

...confirmed by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER to activate the array, not just ENTER. You will know the array is active when you see curly braces { } appear around your formula. If you do not CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER you will get an error or a clearly incorrect answer. Press F2 on that cell and try again.

    Adjusted formula

    =INDEX(D$2:D$48,IF(($A$1:$A$48=$O$1)*($B$1:$B$48=$O$2),MATCH($O$3,$C$2:$C$48,0)))

Thank you AlKey, The formula works great for the first block of data (Tandem) (28") but when I use the drop downs to choose (Single) or (12)" then it does not work, thank you for your help

Is it my PC acting up - or is this sheet calculating really slowly...

    Try this.

Wind the handle Glen crank your PC up, many thanks, looks like that has worked, so all you did was drag the criteria down for each row? thanks again
