    Converting 13.6B (B stands for bilion) into 13600000000

    Hello.

    Im very new at using exel and i dont have much knowledge.Im doing a project.
    So for example in A1 its written 13.6B (B stands for bilion) so i need a formula which will convert 13.6B into 13600000000 in the B1.
    I failed to figure it out myself so could someone please help me.

    No sorry that doesnt solve my problem,im geting an error with your formula.

    You may have to replace the comma with a semi-colon.

    =LEFT(A2;LEN(A2)-1)*1000000000

    Do you have have any leading or trailing spaces? e.g. "13.6B "

    Did you try post #4 & how about #5? if there is a space maybe the trim will do.
    =LEFT(TRIM(A2),LEN(TRIM(A2))-1)*1000000000 base on post#4
    Is it displaying 1.36E+10 --- if so adjust the column width
