Sorry, can't seem to figure out why I keep getting "#REF!" when I'm using the VLOOKUP function. I imagine I'm missing something very basic or using the wrong function.
I have two workbooks open. I want to add three columns to Workbook1 that return the values in Columns F, G, and H in Workbook2 for rows where the A value in Workbook1 matches the A value for a row in Workbook2.
Here's what I have:
=VLOOKUP(A2,[Workbook2.xlsx]Sheet1!$A:$A,6) // (to get Column F)
=VLOOKUP(A2,[Workbook2.xlsx]Sheet1!$A:$A,7) // (to get Column G)
=VLOOKUP(A2,[Workbook2.xlsx]Sheet1!$A:$A,8) // (to get Column H)
Is the problem that the table array I'm looking in has to have more than one column? Even if I'm only comparing the A columns in two workbooks?
Thanks in advance for any help!
