Split the contents of the cell separated by comma into different cells

    Hi,

I want to split the contents of one cell (in Sheet1) in different cells (in Sheet2) along with the corresponding values automatically.

I dont want to use a macro for the same. Want to keep it very simple.
When I separate the values in different cells, then the corresponding value should be automatically displayed.

    Regards,
    Vivek

You don't seem to have any data in your example file, so it's difficult to see exactly what you want to happen. Please repost with some data, and show what you have and what you would like to achieve.

    Hmm?
...Want to keep it very simple.
Try this workbook, concatenation and splitting cells isn't a strong point of Excel native formulae.

    [EDIT]
Missed the second part of your question, attachment now updated.

I have also added a Dynamic Named List for your Panel Widths data validation, add to this list as required and note the changes in the drop-downs.

    @ VivekBhise

Based on your last post it seems that you are satisfied with the solution(s) you've received but you haven't marked your thread as SOLVED. I'll do that for you now but please keep in mind for your future threads that Rule #9 requires you to do that yourself. If your problem has not been solved you can use Thread Tools (located above your first post) and choose "Mark this thread as unsolved".
    Thanks.

Re: Split the contents of the cell separated by comma into different cells

    Hello Sir,

Actually now when the panel nos are entered in the sheet 1, they are entered in any random order.
Example:- 14,15 can come in the first box itself, or 1,3,5,2 can come in any box.

So in sheet 2 the data should be sorted according to the Panel nos i.e., 1-100(Any number). So the corresponding width should come according to (SORTED) panel no.

The panel nos in the sheet 2 should have upperlimit of minimum 150. (i.e., 1-150 panel nos) and widths accordingly.

If in sheet 1 we dont enter panel no 1, its width should be blank in sheet 2.

Re: Split the contents of the cell separated by comma into different cells

Take a look at this workbook, does it do as you need?

    Note
In your last posted sample you didn't use the simpler formula I gave you in Post #5.

    I have further simplified this.
See the formula in D2, Drag Down to D2, then Accross to Column EW.
