    SumIF – 3 way lookup

    Hi,

I am trying to use SUMIF to sum a range based on three conditions.

I am trying to use formula to match the month, a total line and then a user dependent drop down list.

I only get an error but I don’t know why this would be, any ideas why?

The formulas should be in the yellow highlighted cells C52:N53

    Paul

Could a helper column work for you (that is how i'd do it)?
add a column that concatinates columns A and B into col C then use
    =SUMIF($C$2:C$49,D$51&$B53,$D$2:$AU$49)
this one was in cell D53.

    Hi,

Unfortunately if I do that it omits the 3rd lookup - this is in B51 which matches row 1.

Paul, i think that for 1 more time you need SUMPRODUCT.

    =SUMPRODUCT(($B$2:$B$49=$B52)*($A$2:$A$49=C$51)*($C$1:$AT$1=$B$51)*($C$2:$AT$49))

Unfortunately I'm really not following what you are looking for then.
What would be the value that should appear in (your original) cell C52?
