convert seconds to decimal minutes and hours

Try dividing by 3600. Which is the number of seconds in one hour.

Or use the built in Excel function =Convert(3652,"sec","hr")

I tested on Excel 2002 and it worked for me.

1 day = 86400 s
so try to divide n to 86400 :
=3652/86400
then format as mm:ss or [mm]:ss

a mistake!
try to divide to 3600 then format as mm:ss (=00:48)

Just read this:

CONVERT requires the analysis toolpak to be loaded.

Tools|Addins check 'Analysis Toolpak'

Look like 3652 equals 3652 days in excel format. Try my solution in #6. Does it work?

a1/3600 is correct
format cell general gives 1.014444444 hrs
